Project Description:

Design a logo for a new brand of handmade beverage similar to smoothies. This drink is aimed at teens and young adults and will be sold in the refrigerated section of the grocery
store.

Issues Encountered:
A recurring issue I encounter is simplifying my designs. As a traditional artist, I prefer to start off with as many design ideas as possible and slowly narrow down the strongest ones.

 

Solution: 

I focus on the negative space and how this aspect of designing is just as important as the positive space. Taking away the least important aspect of designs makes the overall piece more cohesive, less busy and easier to imagine as a physical print.
