Visual Identity & Brand Design:
"Casa 'O' Mas"
Project Description:
Create a brand identity for a "fast-casual' dining restaurant that promotes: "healthy food is delicious, and it can be prepared quickly". Create: Logo, Business card, Menu, Exterior/Interior signs, carton/shopping bags, envelope and tagline.
Background Info:
“Casa ‘O’ Mas” has several meanings. One being “House or more” in Spanish, and the other meaning “More ‘Organic’ House” with the ‘O’ as an initial. The overall goal is to promote that healthy foods can be prepared in a timely manner. Such foods include wraps, burritos, burrito bowls and custom salads made by culinary trained
chef Zoe Casmento.
Look and feel:
To start, I wanted to implement visual elements that relate to the following:
the meaning of the name, the Spanish cultural look, and lastly the fast, earthy and organic approach this new chain restaurant has to offer. The house backing the main logo text, follows a top-down method which expands in size as does the name. The impression is of a strong foundation and achieves a grand or “Big” house feel that everyone can dine at.
“The Spanish style roof is characterized by gorgeous tiles used to create texture, color and detail where plain shingles would otherwise be drab and unappealing. (Heather & Little)”
Additionally, the colors represent an earthy, homey, and moderate feel that also complements the “organic” approach. The specific colors chosen: Coffee bean brown, tan brown, terracotta orange and Sea green are mostly moderate with green representing “organic”. The colors also should mimic that of the real life architecture which depict a warm yet inviting representation that leaves the customer feeling comfortable and wanting to return. No oversaturated or intense colors.
